Overview of GST Reform 2025

The 2025 GST reform, announced by the GST Council on September 3, 2025, represents a significant overhaul of India’s indirect tax regime. These changes are effective from September 22, 2025, and aim to simplify the tax structure, reduce the tax burden on consumers, and boost economic growth.

The revision is solely on account of the reduction in GST rates, and the benefit is being passed directly to consumers.

Maximum retail price (MRP, inclusive of all taxes/GST) reduction as on outcome of revised GST Rate slabs, effective from 22nd September’2025
For a limited period, products with both the old and new prices may be available in the market.
